Experiment over? That just did not seem right. Something had to be done. A string of emails followed.

I apologize for violating your Terms of Use. However, the Terms of Use (or any other section of the website) do not specify what criteria is used to determine whether a name is fake or real. Please clarify this for me.
Also, while a member of Facebook is sent an email about most events, such as a friend request or a wall posting, no alert is sent out upon termination of the account. Why am I expected to respect your rules while you fail to show me even minimal courtesy?
Thank you in advance for addressing my concerns.
From: Christina from Facebook (6/20):
Hi,
Please provide me with your real name and I’ll be more than happy to reactivate your account.
Thanks,

I fully understand your request.
What I need from you is the criteria used for determining whether a name is fake or real. I would like the information necessary to avoid going through this process again.
I can easily find numerous fake accounts on Facebook. I would like to know why my account was removed and those are still active. If for some reason you are not aware of their existence and I provide you with a list of account IDs I am referring to, will those accounts be removed?
Thank you in advance for addressing my concerns.
From: Christina from Facebook (6/26):
Hi,
Your profile was reported to us and upon investigation was deemed fake. To avoid going through this process again please provide me with your real name.
Thanks!

Hi Christina,
I feel like we are going in a circle here. I will try to rephrase my previous question one more time. Please answer it this time.
How do you report a profile and what is necessary to have it removed? I would like to help you in your quest to keep Facebook “real”.
Thank you.
From: Christina from Facebook (7/5):
Hi,
Any user can report a profile, picture, group, event, message etc by clicking on the ‘report’ tab on that page. Upon further investigation it was found that the account was fake. The email address does not match the registered name.
Thanks,

To: Christina from Facebook (7/5):
Hi.
Thank you for clarifying the procedure for reporting fake profiles.
The email address that was listed on my Facebook account and the one I used to sign in to Facebook is the same one I have been using to correspond with you. Which part of it does not match?
So far you have not provided me with any evidence that would indicate that my profile is “fake” in any way. I would like to have my account restored until you can prove otherwise.
Thank you.
The world may never know if it was due to this conversation or some glitch in the system, but the profile was reactivated a few days ago. An apology is certainly in order if so many emails were necessary to get to this point.

I’m a Photographer and I take pictures of women for Swim Suit Calender’s. For the last Month someone has been reporting my pictures, saying they were nudes. But really they are not. And then just this weekend some girl message me telling me to stop taking pictures of Ugly girls. So I told her she was rude and then Blocked her, the next day I was disabled. Facebook says I was warned several times about my pictures, but everytime they warned me I asked to prove what pictures were bad. They did not respond back about it all, and that was because they had no proof. Now I’m disabled off facebook and I’m pissed off, they could not prove to me what pictures were bad. So they had no proof but delete me anyways! Really is that how you run a website? Why don’t email me first and show me what picture is supposed to be bad, then I will the real truth. This way no one can report you just because they don’t like you, or your work, or any of your friends.
Like really if this keeps going on then I’m just going to report everyone, one by one, and then maybe you will look into whats really wrong!

my facebook account was disabled too, i have no idea why, i wasn’t doing anything, i’ve sent 2 emails, and i just get the “generic” email back. this is the weirdest thing ever. If I had known that the “brains” behind facebook were so f*****d, i would never have gotten on there in the first place.

September 14, 2007 at 1:53 pm |
i was disabled in the middle of searching for a friend, for not confirming my high school network within 60 days, even though i just joined the network today! i have been on FB for over a year and only received one message from fb, saying not to send more messages. nothing telling me to confirm my network!
September 15, 2007 at 5:46 pm |
mine was disabled for no reason saying..tha i have no netwrkk wen i did..then wen i tried changing to my school netwr..it said i succesfully did it..then wen i wen to my home thing to see my profile it sayz Your account has been disabled by an administrator???…for no reason at alll
September 15, 2007 at 9:23 pm |
I was disabled for trying to join my high school network. I typed in everything and it came up with a page saying that you have to request someone. So i decided to click the home button to skip it because it didn’t really mean anything to me. So i click home and POOF I’m back at the log in screen with a big red box saying my account has been disabled by an admin. Now isn’t Facebook supposed to let you join your schools network… I’m pretty sure your supposed to.. even though i didn’t choose anyone it disables me. They should at least just take me off the network or just say you cant do that not disable me. Ive sent them suggestions on EASIER ways to go through with adding a network. Like adding a special button saying that this kid here is indeed in my school so lets add him to this network. But it has to be your friend saying that you are in the school. First things first. How does an admin have privileges to disable someone? It should be SITE admin not just an admin. I’m sure among facebook there is at least 2,000 different admins, half of which are not site admins. They are just 20 year old guys running around disabling people because they cant get any friends them self on facebook. So what gives these people the right to disable us. Ive sent three emails so far to get my account back but nope the owners of facebook are to smart for us. They have computers send us emails instead of them themselves. They should really add some contact information so we can actually get a hold of them.Back to the admin era. The admin should first have to request that this person be disabled and send that to a higher ranked admin, such as the SITE admin. Then the site admin looks over this and agrees or disagrees. All of this happened in less then 30seconds so if they say that they did something like this.. thats BS. I should indeed have my account REACTIVATED as soon as possible. I was in the middle of talking with people and i don’t even have there number or AIM or anything. Its urgent that i read the messages they send me. I am still awaiting a response from my emails. I am hopping for one within the next 24hours. If i don’t get one i might take matters else where.
September 17, 2007 at 7:19 am |
There is obviously some problems here. People are having their accounts disabled for no reason and it is ruining Facebook for us all!
I believe I have had my account disabled because I didn’t put my surname down. i was unaware that you HAD to do this. However, i am fully willing to put my full name down if they would actually reply to my email!!
VERY disappointed as I use Facebook a lot.
Even more disappointed that such a company do not realise that they are making mistakes and upsetting customers.

I got my facebook issue resolved,
Hi Scott,
This problem should now be resolved. The messaging you saw was sent to
you in error. Your account should now be active.

I got my account disabled and terminated today because apparently it is an offense to add too many people. I dont understand why this is a problem especially when the people you add dont mind and have no objection to you for adding them in the first place. I was warned once about it and i did ask FB why was it not allowed as its not mentioned in the Terms and Conditions or the Code of Conduct Policy.
I could understand my account being terminated if i was sending abusive messages to various people, but i was not. Now im left with the enormous frustration that all teh contacts i had made have been lost and with no way with regaining them. This is extremely annoying especially since im trying to enter the fashion and events industry and had made some extremely valuable contacts through facebook. Facebook seems unable to give me a straight answer to my one simple question; “Why is it wrong to add certain numbers of friends?” If anyone else has come across the same problem and have had a response then please let me know here that would be great. Trust me i know how annoying it is to have your account disabled and then deleted!!

My Facebook has been disabled for no apparent reason. There was no warning and no was has contacted me. I have contacted the info Facebook number twice.
The site could not even tell me why it was disabled.
This is devasting. Facebook, is the way I keep in contact with my sister in Taiwan.
September 30, 2007 at 2:02 pm |
I understand how you feel Rosanna as thats the only way i keep in contact with a lot of my friends and my cousin who works in Dubai. I dont think facebook realise how important it is to a lot of us. When i first used facebook i was hooked on it all teh time and since i have been on it i have introduced so many to it.

My account was disabled for no reason. I have my real name, i have not harrassed anybody and I have no vulgar content. Without warning one day I couldnt log on. People think I am ignoring them. I have so many friends on there I have no other way of staying in contact with. I am truley devastated. I have emailed appeals@facebook and have recieved no reply. I dont know what to do!
October 3, 2007 at 4:42 pm |
Hello Matt,
Same thing happened to me,neither did i harrass anyone nor did i post any nude content!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think if that happened it might of been someone that hacked into our ccounts or something!! Anyway it takes them around 2 days to get back to you,and you should send to disabled@facebook.com
October 3, 2007 at 4:49 pm |
My account got disabled for somethin that i did not do,kindly re activate it as i didnt recieve any warnings that my account is sending any messages to contacts, and if i recieved a warning, that would of made me take action to prevent it,bu deleting random adds on my list that might of hacked into my account, this showed me that facebook doesnt have aany respect wat so ever to the information that each one of us have, this is the only means i stay in touch with my fanmily, plus i get alot of work done on it through communication with my collegeues
I dont know if this post will do anything,!! But i need a chance to activate my account back so that i can delete those random adds, change my password to a stronger one,and edit my orivacy settings to prevent such actions again, and if you find that i still break your terms of privacy then disable my account,i think thats only fair!!
Thanks,

ditto – close down for “spam” I got close down for replying top someone in a group with copied text that I had previously sent to friends.
does anybody have a phone number for facebook or know the address of the corporate office – nothing came up on google?
October 6, 2007 at 9:18 am |
Does anyone ever read these posts,i doubt that!!
I ogt a message that my account was disabled because i sent harassing messages, which would be ompossible to do not only cuz i wont do that, but cuz i was actually travelling and didnt use my account for a week!!
Now i sent to disabled@facebook and to everyne, and it seems like i’m talking to a machine, automatically generated messages,do they actually read those stuff and activate accounts back,or is all this a waste of time!?
October 6, 2007 at 2:41 pm |

any sort of reply from facebook or anyone that can help, I have called them on the phone and the lady at the operator said she cant do anything for me I have to send them an email and wait 3-5 days for a response so I told her to take my name and my ID and if she can pass it through to someone at support desk to check what went wrong and to reactivate my account. I do apologize for violating your Terms of Use. The fact is that , the Terms of Use (or any other section of the website) do not specify what criteria is used to determine while a member of Facebook is sent an email about most events, such as a friend request or a wall posting, no alert is sent out upon termination of the account.
However, I`m ready to acknowledge that the fault was mine, and I do hereby state that this type of mistake would not be committed again and there will be no violation of the Terms of Use in future.
Please , I need my account reactivation and it is very very urgent to me. Thanks in advance.

Facebook have said the following “Your account was disabled because you engaged in behavior other users reported as harassing in nature. I got a warning for sending to many messages. So I left it overnight and logged on in the morning. I had no more warnings when viewing my messages, hence me thinkin it was ok to send a message… little did I know that it wasnt! My account was deactivated… Gutted!
I hope i’ll b reactivated soon, but given these responses Im not to sure now! The worst part is, it would take them all of 5 minutes to check if I was spamming or “misusing” their features! If u dont want people messaging… then dont offer the service!!! Social networking… lol! I can understand having a bot 2 filter potential spammers… but surely you should then hav a team manually check out those profiles and make a decision from there.
Seems a little big-brotherish if you ask me… which i dont really care about, its the lack of info they tell you which gets to me. At least tell me what Ive done wrong… or would that mean they will have to justify their actions… which in most cases, the cant.

i deleted my email account from my profile information, and now cannot log into facebook, b/c my email in “not valid.” i have sent an email to login@facebook.com, and have called and spoken to someone who said that a representative would contact me through email… it has been 2 days, does anyone know how long it takes them to reply to emails?

Facebook disables my account
I didn’t send spam, I just wanted to invite my school friends to join my group of classmates.
I think it’s wrong and unfair to disable my account.
The only thing I wanted, was to invite my old classmates that aren’t my facebook friends to join my group who has as a title “(School name 1995 classmates”
I e-mailed disabled, info, appeals@facebook.com and nothing happens…
Please tell me what can I do to re-enable my login account…
I am desperate

I still don’t understand why an account would be disabled just because someone is adding friends fast and/or sending messages too fast. Why doesn’t FB automatically put a block on this and not let the user add friends so fast and/or send messages quickly?
Seems like they are out there to get rid of us.

Hello,
Recently I deactivated my Facebook account, (only temporarily, as it was becoming a distraction from my work). I had forgotten that my login email was my college email, which I no longer have access to since I graduated. I do not have another contact email listed, and I have no way of getting to the conformation email. I have sent several emails to customer support, giving them all of the information they listed in the FAQ, but so far I have heard nothing back. I have important stuff on my account that I need access to.
Is their anyone who has had a similar problem, or anyone that can PLEASE help me get my account reactivated?
Thank you.

I went to a link sent to me by a friend in a message. Low and behold it contained some type of virus or something, and hacked onto my account. The virus than sent spam to my friends. I got on my computer, and realized I had an email from facebook warning me about sending spam. I immediatly went and checked my facebook only to find out my account had been disabled. I have emailed facebook about 5 or 6 times now just asking for some type of help. I did nothing wrong but trust an email from a friend. I would love to just hear something positive back from Facebook, like facebook is working on it or something. I would rather think something is trying, then just pressing delete. And mainly I would just like my account, and information, pictures, etc back.
Thank you, and please email me something

Dear facebook appeal operations. My name is Jason Szymanski and I am sending this message in regards to the disabling of my facebook account connected to the email address, jiggilyjason@hotmail.com. The reason provided for the disabling of my account was that I sent out too many friend requests. Though I felt this was hardly an offence that should result in the disbaling of an account, I decided to contact facebook support to get some information as to exactly why and how the terms of use agreement was violated. Before this, I researched the terms of use and nowhere did I commit a offence that violated the terms of use, So I felt that I was on reasonable grounds to file a complaint and ask for reactivation. There was a response to my request of reactivation from customer support which stated that I was warned about adding too many friends, however, this was not the case. I never received a warning of my account disabling nor did I recieve any notification that there was a contact limit. Since I felt so strongly of my innocence, I was sure there must of been a glitch in the system which caused this issue and it could be easily resolved, so I pursued other options.
Though I felt abandoned and at a loss in requesting help from facebook customer support, I enquired about transfering the data from the account to another one. The data included videos, photos, as well as university shared documents (which are currently only accessible through the facebook database), that were and are important to many more students and teachers than me. The response I got was similar to the first which seemed absent of any personal communication. My contacts would be easy to add to a new account, but data dating back years can only be found through facebook. My University of Toronto email is Jason.szymanski@utoronto.ca and my URL is individual.utoronto.ca/JasonSzymanski. Facebook has become a rather important part of my school commmunications and I am very pleased with everything it has to offer. In the past few years my school has incorporated facebook into our professor and T.A communications, which has allowed easy access to files and documents for everyone in the school. My account was heavily involved in this applicated group.
I understood from the rather monogomous email that the disabling of my account was final, but none the less, my collegues and students through the University of Toronto have my contact information through my facebook account. Our research projects, events, and data uplink all reserve through the site itself. I need to access this information or transfer the information from one account to another. As I am unpleased with this turnout, I am in need of some resolvement for my future success as a teacher and student. I have never taken advantage of the facebook messenger service or any of its applications, and my collegues will petition to that. If there is something you could do to help me resolve this issue it would be much appreciated. Thankyou for your time and understanding.

Hey,
My name is Marianna Lafferty and my facebook is deactivated as of right now. I deactivated my facebook and tried to reactivate it. When I reactivated it, I got an email confirmation saying that if I reply to that message, with the orignial message in it my facebook will be reactivated. I did this and it didn’t work. So then I tried to log in again and it said my password was wrong. I then went to forget password and got an email giving me my new password. So I logged in again, with my new password and it stil said my facebook was deactivated. if you could reactivate it for me that would be great!
Thanks,
Marianna Lafferty

I was blocked from Facebook a week ago. I’ve sent 2 emails asking fb to reactivate my account & I feel I haven’t violated any terms/conditions. I have only about 20 close friends & family that I have on my Facebook. Since I travel a lot, I post my photos so I can share my experiences with them if they choose to look.
Both of my emails to fb have not received replies (other than the usual automated reply). Has anyone been successful at getting fb to reactivate their account– or at least know how ok g it takes to get a response?

Dear Facebook Team,
I logged into my facebook today only to receive a message claiming my facebook account had been deactivated. I see from the number of emails that this is a common occurrence. I hope I can get this matter solved as I do use facebook to keep in touch with my long distance boyfriend as well as many friends. Planning and attending events are also all saved onto my facebook page. I am not sure if my account was deactivated by mistake or hacked or what. If someone can please get in touch with me in regards to this matter that would be greatly appreciated. I am a 28 year old teacher in Toronto who would never think of abusing a site such as facebook so needless to say I am shocked to see that my account is disabled.
Thank you.

Which I did and now I can’t open any emails and I can’t connect with my friends like I was able to before this. Hello,
as the others who posted their troubles with Facebook, my account has been disabled for no reason.
it’s not only that i barely wrote on my friends’ walls , but i didnt belong to any group.
i used my real name and my Email address– in fact, i’ve got two but i mostly use the one that is adressed on my facebook.
it happened a while ago.. couple of days ,and i sent an message protesting my issue to the following Email adderss (disabled@facebook.com) , which i got from an online search.but the cosumer service , or whatever that was-the Fcebook Team -did not respond to my Email.
i would like to know the reason for disabling my account
and most important ,getting it back to work.
Thank You,

My facebook account has been disabled , and I really don’t know why.
Like many others who have complained about a situation like mine, im helpless and frustrated.
I’ve tried everything, but nothing seems to work.ive sent about 10 Emails to all the Facebook Emails and never got a respond.
I don’t know if its worth it, me waiting to get some help from them.it makes me upset when I go to check if they enabled it and its still not working (I do it every day)
I really need this account back, with the same content that I had before they decided to come up on me.
I really hate feeling so helpless and that I cant do anything about it but sending the Facebook Costumer Services Emails and asking for help. I mean COME ON! I am not the only one who has this problem! It’s a 1 in a 1000000 chance that they would help ME (I was never lucky to get that much of attention).
I really feel like a dumbass that I actually hope that my Emails to them would change anything. This would probably be the 11th time I tr to get their attention, but I doubt it.
If I could only get them on the phone, and know that someone is taking care of it.
Ill keep searching and if I find some helpful way to get them just to listen ill let you guys know.
Good luck ,

yeah u have to email them like 3-4 times a day and eventually they should reply sometimes it takes up to 3weeks when i first got disabled cause someone said i was fake lol they replied that same day and took a week to get everything sorted out well from a real reply not the automated one but now that some many ppl seem to be gettin disabled for no reason or some error on facebook like the report button no one use it! i think thats why i got disabled this time that report button on ppls profiles i think has a bug or something cause right after i hit send i got disabled lol
i think alot of ppl have been getting disabled lately. because u got disabled fb treats u like u are at fault so they take they time replying you. it’s like they do it on purpose and treat u like spam etc so they take they sweet time. just keep emailin thats what im doing and hopefully u get a reply cause it seems from wat i heard from other who have gotten they profiles back it took them 3weeks at the most but i see a few took more than a month. by that time u could of recreated a new account and caught up to the old one lol but its a hassle

Hi, my daughter’s account has somehow disappeared coz i had her email address as one of my alternate email addresses on my facebook and then when i deleted my old email address and added my gmail one, her facebook was suddenly gone coz my facebook seemed to default to her email address until i activated the link to my gmail address!!! Why did this happen to her facebook when i never even logged into hers or anything? now even though I removed her email ad from my account and mine is linked to my new gmail ad only – her facebook seems gone still and she cant log in with her usual email address becuase it seems like it’s ‘unregistered’… can someone fix this for her I have sent numerous emails to FB from my gmail ad and so far no reply…. her name is mikola hill, on south african network and email address holla@mikola.co.za… thanks :)

Well, about five days ago my facebook account was deleted for misuse of the message feature. I am not a spammer, and I was not spamming. I was simply replying to the many messages and threads I had between friends. I was warned before my messaging was taken away for a few hours. After this, I was again warned, but because of the warnings I was getting about facebook updating the website I simply ignored the warning thinking it was another one of those warnings. Then my account was simply disabled. I was unaware of what the limits were. How am I supposed to obey the rules when I don’t know what they are? The first time when they deactivated the writing on the wall feature I sent a message asking how many times I could write on the walls and send e-mails per day so I would not have this problem. I do not want to be trouble. I simply want to know the rules so we can all be happy :) Please help!!!!! I beg !!!!! I miss all my friends :(
Thank You,

Hi folks
Hope all is good on Facebook, though I cannot tell because my Account was disabled last night to my dismay. I now realise why and I am a bit fed up about it. One of the facebook apps “Gangster Battle” requires you to add as many friends as you can to become a stronger gang and beat the others and to make more money. Now then Via the “ganster battle” groups I did exactly this with my fellow Gangster Battle gamers knowing that I was not “SPAMMING” because the aim of these groups is to help one another in reaching one final aim. A huge Gang!! Then BLIP. “Your account has been DISABLED… GUTTED.
Please help me get my account re-enabled as I have many friends on FB and love it as a network. It’s helped me keep in touch with many of my old work colleagues and current ones that no longer work in the same area as well as Family members that I have not spoken to in over 10 years.
I realise where I went wrong and now understand the consequences and will refrain from adding any more folk for gaming purposes.
Hope that I can get my account back in full working order with My full current family on Gangster Battle.
Much love and many thanks Si the jolly fatman.

Hi, my name is Jason Owen and I’ve been using facebook for almost a year… Today, i logged in to facebook, to realise that my account got disabled by an administrator… This is really shocking because I’ve never even got an email stating that it has been disabled… Please re-enable my account, facebook is the only way i get to keep in touch with old friends…
Thanks…

good morning,
I really don’t know why my account was deactivated by an administrator.
I apologize if I did something against FB rules or terms of use, BUT I DON’T KNOW what I eventually did wrong.
I just published art and music links on my profile wall. No commercial or illegal or illecite use: just sharing art with my friends.
I don’t think this is against FB rules, isn’t it?
I use Facebook just to stay in touch with my old and new friends and I hope you can check my profile history and verify that I’m right.
Can you check my profile and tell me why you deactivated my account?
Please do answer asap it is almost 10 day that I’m waiting an answer from Facebook.
Best regards,
Luigi Abbondanza

Hi my name is Arooj…..
Recently my facebook account has been deactivated….
i really don’t know the reason.I got no email from FB which confirms that my account has been disabled.
I had joined alot of groups in which i was actually intersted in.
I think the reason for the deactivation might be that FB thinks i have added people i don’t know. That is not the case.I keep transferring to places. For eg. there is a cousin of mine in USA.
Please activate my account!!…I don’t even reply back to people i don’t know.
I’ll have 2 make another one then and re-ADD all my friends and groups….that is very time consuming.
March 23, 2009 at 10:32 am |
I apologize for anything I might have done against FB rules…please activate my acoount!!
I promise I’ll be careful next time..
Facebook has given me alot..it has reconnected me 2 my long lost friends…
PLEASE!!

I had seen some warnings whenever I’m adding friends from the groups i had belonged to. Those people that I was adding are actually requesting to be added too for the reason that we are both playing the same zyga game (vampire wars). It is a game from which all the players would want to have clans as it is necessary to win the play. In order to become clan members to the other player, one would need to one to be a friend first to him. I am not spamming in any way and not annoying other users.
I apologize for violating your Terms of Use.

So basically I was adding old friends from High School which caused my account to be disabled, after a couple years I FINALLY find out the reason, when my second one was disabled, took them that long.. Eh I am not a spammer just a College girl in California trying to making money for my mom and sisters back home, and finish school. I am also holding two great jobs. I have no reason to promote, spam, or advertise anything. It sucks that my account got disabled, especially because my mom jsut began to learn to use it just for me, and she doesn’t speak english well. Also I am able to send msgs over my phone, even though I am not able to log in or anything. This is definitley against their private policy I bet, I have no idea how this is possible that my phone i sstill logged in after being reset but it is.. I hate this, I am not a fake person, it just sad to see less and less good people on the earth these days.. lacking a heart.. :(

To whom it may concern,
I tried to log onto my Facebook account this afternoon, i found my account has been disabled by an administrator. Gino Reyes
I received no warning by Facebook in my e-mail explaining why my account was disabled. Therefore i would like to know the reason why my account has been disabled.
If i have violated any of Facebook’s Terms of Use or Code of Conducts, could you please inform me the nature of this violation and so i may clear up any matter that i have may have caused an inconvenience to.
As a result would it possible to enable my account (if it has not been deleted) once this matter has been settled.
I apologised for any problems and inconveniences caused.
Yours Sincerely,
Gino Reyes

I still don’t understand why an account would be disabled just because someone is adding friends fast and/or sending messages too fast. Why doesn’t FB automatically put a block on this and not let the user add friends so fast and/or send messages quickly?
Seems like they are out there to get rid of us.
plz re-enabled my facebook account: crowhadez_2@yahoo.com

My account was disabled for adding friends too fast – I guess – but when I’d get a pink screen I always stopped and canceld – went to look up what the rules were and didn’t find anything on this matter – did find some forums – people said it had happened to them and they stopped – waited till the next day to add people – I got the screen – stopped and waited – the next day I added 1 friend and my account became disabled – will you please reactivate my account.
June 4, 2009 at 12:57 pm |
Yes I did the same. Now I am disabled. When I get the pink warning I stop and resume the next day. But today after adding about 7 friends and then change my email to a new email they disabled me when I try to get back on.

Facebook should not allow Zynga games if it is going to disable people for playing them. I have beed disabled today and have never done anything wrong. I have sent 3 emails and have heard nothing back. What’s the point of a social networking site that won’t let you network? They really need to get their act together!
June 8, 2009 at 2:45 pm |
My account was disabled for sending too many messages through the inbox. A couple of friends and I have an on going conversation through that, and it’s just way more convenient that way. I got the pink box maybe three times today, and then I was disabled.
I guess I should apologize for using the site for what it was designed for.

I was blocked from wall postings about a week ago. I keep trying to use it, but the same message about using the wall too much. I put several music videos up, but do not know if that was it or not. I would like to get back on as my friends are asking about me, but I cannot tell them what happened. I have not done anything that wrong, please unblock me.. I have not found anything in writing about limits on comments, or wall stuff. I just answer people who post on my page and have a very active page. What is wrong with that. I will not put that many music videos up again, but did not have information on a limit. How much longer am I blocked, I think it has been almost 10 days now..Sharon Ford

Dear Facebook Team,
I was simply adding new friends>
I logged into my facebook last week only to receive a message claiming my facebook account had been deactivated.
Thank you.

If you are the president of this facebook team, could you kindly investigate on my behalf? Cause my account have been disabled recently..
When i try to sign in, I got this message.
Account Disabled
Your account has been disabled. If you have any questions or concerns, you can visit our FAQ page here.
So, this means it is not disabled by a page administrator.. Does it mean my profile is permanently deleted?
Please help me to get back my facebook profile as I have a lot of friends and contacts there. Furthermore, I am quite active in friends for sale, pet society and mousehunt. Wouldn’t want all my hard work there to vanish just like that..
Oh yeah, I did receive warning before that, and I guess its my mistake to ignore it. I receive my first warning when I first posted wall to wall with my friend.. It seems weird, and that’s why I ignore it. Later, it turns red (and a slow down message comes out), and that makes me quite worried..
Later, I try commenting on my friend’s status and profile, and it seems I receive another warning which is very serious. So, that make me stop for a while and finally in the end, my account was disabled when I log in to facebook. I don’t understand why I am being treated as such but I really hope I get back my account.. Its important to me, as it contains all my photos which brings back good memories.. :(

Dear Facebook, this morning my account was disabled and the message when I asked why was” fake name”.This is my real name and email address. The only thing I did was add my nick name”Kittie” to my middle name because that’s what all my old friends called me and I thought they would find me easier.I don’t understand that if you have my email address and my name, and I replied to the email you sent me, why is there still a problem? This was a mistake and I would greatly appreciate being activated to access my page.

Dear Facebook Team ,
I am an Iranian user and I think you are well aware of current political and social situation in Iran. specially the problems of media restriction that has effects Internet, SMS , Mobile and news papers.
currently facebook is playing a great role on this
are becoming a media itself. If you check the mentioned profiles you will see for most of wall post , there are over 300 comment or “Liked markings”
However since two weeks ago facebook is asking for verification code from most of Iranian users, entering mobile number to get texted verification code is not possible for Iran because Mobile operators has disabled SMS for over 30 days and also this will have security risk for users since Iranian government is watching user activity log on internet very closely.
I think a simple solution for this issue is to allow even unverified users to be able to send comments and have normal activities only in the mentioned profiles since they are key players here.
BTW sorry to send this message to your abuse account , I couldn’t find any other known email to contact facebook .

If FB does not help with Iran’s movement, the whole thing could shift from FB to other social networking site, as well as the movement creating it’s own site.
It is also in the best interest of FB to look into this matter and comply.
Iran’s movement has done to internet what the Iraq war did to TV news .

are becoming a media itself.

WTF, Unbelievable are corporations and the people with in, so concerned with “the rules” so blind to world events and so tied to the corporate “bottom line”. Further if I understand this correctly who is complaining about who and a false name. My suggestion is start a a new account and continue to be the media. WTF we should all be concerned with this “bs”. We are in no less danger from the do-gooders than the people of Iran. My anger is subjective but corporate policy should be objective and flowing depending on the needs of their clients, in this where lies the “social responsibility of FB and its share holders.
Further read the president of face books slogan “Higher education meets social net working” WTF.
This is my response to one of friends:
I see that, one of the problems with the news is the delay s in getting this out, no less should we be responding, at the end of the day we, the users are the shareholders we are providing them with the revenue at the end of the day FB is “NOT” revenue neutral. Nor is FB about good will. It is a business. we are the clients. We are its business. As… Read More a former corporate and personal facilitator. I know well the challenges that growing and developing ideas bring, This is one of those challenges, I have no empathy with stupidity. Lack of courage and conviction is exactly that nothing. This still needs to go out FB needs to know the feelings of its clients in this and any other matter where being part of the solution can make a difference.

Dear Facebook
I am an Iranian user of the facebook. I am sure you are well aware of the situation in Iran currently all other means of communication are either blocked or unusable in Iran. Facebook is the only source of information, communication news and organization between us! Since 2 weeks ago facebook is asking for verification code and for those of us in Iran this means the end! As they can’t provide the Mobil number due to the disable of Sms and also the security risk that they are facing.
Please help us by keeping this last avenue open, you are the last hope of 70000000 people of Iran.
Kind regards
Shoun Jahromi

We have reports that the same thing happend to Mousavi’s page on facebook! PRESIDENT OF FACEBOOK ! Our President is on Coup ! What is wrong here with your team ?!
and also :
Please Advice
